HOW TO OPTIMIZE YOUR SLOW WINDOWS.

This tutorial will show you some ways to customize the performance of your Windows computer, especially if it is running very slowly. We all know how frustrating it can be for a computer that seems like an eternity to do a simple task. A slow computer can spend a lot of time and money for a long time. For many computers, there is a cure, and I do not mean to have a shiny new computer. If you have a slow computer, then a few hours are extra, and there is a basic understanding of Windows and a web browser, so this tutorial is for you.

First things, some notes, and disclaimers:

- In this tutorial, I do not require the following optimization, maintenance work, etc. in this tutorial. This is only the order that I recommend.

- All steps in this tutorial are optional.

- I try to point out that a particular customization is slightly more advanced, and to decide if you want to take that path down, leave it.

- I will sometimes use the term "mechanical hard drive" (unlike SSD or solid state drive). If you do not know what a solid state drive is, then you probably have no one.

- These optimizations are for Windows XP through Windows 7, although some of them will work with older versions of Windows.

- If you participate in a technical issue during this tutorial (you really should not do), Google is your best friend for troubleshooting them. I just can not cover every potential problem I get on your particular computer.

- It is highly recommended that you complete backup of all the important files before starting this tutorial.

Remove Malware, Spyware, and Adware

Windows Defender.

Malware, spyware, and adware can make your computer a lot slower. Although there are several free utilities that can scan your computer and remove these bad crooks, I personally recommend Microsoft security requirements because it is a free antivirus, malware scanner, keylogger scanner and more.

Now install it and run the application and scan your Device quick or fully but I recommend you to Full Scan.

I also recommend you to install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It helps you take to protect your device from malware to the next level.

Run Error Checking

From time to time, seeing errors on your mechanical hard drive is a good idea; These are corrupted files that can slow down disk access speed.

To access the error check utility, open My Computer, right-click the drive icon and choose "Properties" and then "Tools". Now press "Check Now" in the "Error-Check" section. The utility will scan the unit. This process can take several minutes to complete.

I recommend running periodic error checking (every few months) in any mechanical unit used regularly.

Clean Up Unnecessary Files

Deleting Unnecessary File By CCleaner.

Deleting unnecessary files from your computer can increase your performance. To do this, I recommend using CCleaner. CCleaner is a free and easy-to-use maintenance utility for Windows (originally small for scrap cleaner, I think). I have used it for years without removing "junk" files from my computer without any problems.

Once downloaded and installed, start the application. It should be in the "Cleaner" tab. Press the "Analyze" button. After a few minutes, CCleaner will display a list of files (Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, Windows Log Files, etc.) which you can delete to free up disk space. Now press "Wipe Cleaner" When cleaning is finished, close the application.

Removing programs you do not need can free up disk space and you can adjust the computer's start time. To do this, open the Start menu, select Control Panel, then select "Add or Remove Programs" or "Programs and Features" (depending on your version of Windows).

Uninstall unused programs

Uninstall all apps that you know you do not use them or they do not need them. For beginners, I advise you to play it safe. If you are not completely sure what a particular program is, then do not uninstall it. Some programs may require a reboot to uninstall.

Disable the visual effects

Visual EFFects.

By turning off Windows visual effects, such as window animations, fonts and slides, the appearance of windows will diminish, but increase the performance of your computer. To do so, follow the instructions for your version of the following window:

Windows XP: Click "My Computer", select "Attribute", then select the "Advanced" tab. Now click on the "Settings" button in the "Display" section. In the "Display Options" window, go to the "Visual Effects" tab, select "Customize to get better performance," then press OK

Windows Vista: Click the Start button and then select "Cranial Panel". Now select "System and Care" and then select "Show Information and Tools". Now click on "Adjust Adoption Effect" Finally, click on the "Visual Effects" tab and then select "Compatibility for better performance"

Windows 7: Click the Start button and then select "Control Panel". Now select "System" (or "System and Security") on the left and then select "Advanced System Settings". On the Advanced tab, click on "Settings" in the "Performance" section. Now select "Compatibility for better performance" and press OK

You can also select the "Customize" option and disable/disable the different setting, to see which screen of the screen is not present, and what is the answer to your experience with Windows.

Set Power Settings for High Performance

Windows has a power/power configuration that can be configured on your computer or vice versa. To access these settings, go to your control panel and select Power Options. Choose "High Performance" to scroll slightly more juice from your computer

Make sure the windows have been updated

Check For Windows Update.

Generally, keeping Windows and most used applications up to date is a good idea so that they can work without any problems. To update Windows, use "Windows Update" in your Start menu, usually under "All Programs." You can also configure Windows to automatically download and install automatically through this interface (in the picture above).

Disk Defragmenter

Along with the mechanical drives, it is recommended that you define the hard drive from time to time so that the files can be used quickly. If the computer is often used, I recommend defragmentation every month or two, and often less frequent if not often used

To open the disk defragmenter, go to "My Computer", right-click on the drive icon and select "Attribute". On the "Tools" tab, click "defragment now"

The utility will then clean the fragmented files and free some space on the drive. This process can take several hours depending on the size of the drive and the number of files on the drive, so I advise you to plan for the bedtime or computer removal for a short time before starting this process.

Consider using Open Source Software

Open-source software is often faster and more lightweight than heavy and expensive commercial software applications/suites. The following list displays some open source options of commonly used Windows applications.

Switching to open-source software is easy. Simply bring Google.com to your favorite browser and search for "open source alternatives" You will find thousands of websites that provide open-source options as well as links to download them.

Install it cleanly

Reinstall.

If the previous steps did not leave your computer at any speed, you might consider reinstalling the windows and starting up the latest. I usually think of it as a last resort, but it can help to get "a new computer feel" back. In fact, many advanced users do this routine (every 6 months to one year) so that their computers are running in the tip-top shape.

If you are open to the idea of reinstalling Windows, then this is usually done as follows:

1. Back up all your important files (documents, images, music, etc.). This is important

2. Insert your Windows Disk (Recovery CD) or reboot your computer into your computer's CD / DVD drive, reboot your computer, and then follow the prompts to create a new partition and install the latest copy of Windows. If you do not know where your Windows disk is, you should contact the person or company that sold the computer.

3. Once Windows is installed, restore any additional software you need to use, and restore files from your backup.

If you still have not received any notice of increasing the performance of your computer after following this tutorial, it may be that your hardware needs a slight upgrade. Increasing memory in memory (RAM) in computers is an upgrade that can improve your Windows experience, especially when it comes to multitasking

Closing your mechanical primary drive for SSD (Solar State Drive) can also give a boost to performance as the data can be written very fast on your hard disk

If you decide you want to buy another RAM or want to upgrade to an SSD, then I recommend consulting a PC expert before buying and purchasing the components. New components need to be optimized and installed properly on your computer.
